Thanks for visiting our humble little corner of the web! Humblechan was started out of a love for special things, especially vintage and thrift store finds. The name came about rather simply -- it's the name of my best pal Humble and my own name combined. :o) It's a one-girl-one-cat operation: I maintain the site, take the photographs, answer e.mails, package and ship the items found here -- Humble provides a whole lotta love and encouragement. He also does the books.

I have a very wide range of likes, so you'll find all kinds of stuff on this site. Everything from vintage, thrift store finds, handmade, and modern items. Many of the modern items will have a "vintage-y" style as well, just because that's what I'm usually drawn to.

For items marked with a , the entire selling price will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society, SASHA Farm or Angel's Gate. For all other items, 10% of the selling price will be donated [donation amounts of $50 will be alternated among the three organizations]. Why? Just because I love animals and believe they deserve loving care and tenderness.

Allergy Alert! Items from the shop are stored in boxes that my fur kid doesn't have easy access to, but it's nearly impossible to control every cat hair when I'm measuring items and packaging them for shipment. If you're allergic, it's something to consider!

A little more about yours truly: I love The Golden Girls [Bea Arthur as Dorothy Zbornak is my style hero!], Otis Redding, thrift hunts, cute shoes, and making things with my hands. But most of all, I love hanging out with Humble -- he's hilarious and the most special little guy around.
